FARM TO FOOD ACCESS WHOLESALE READINESS

The WI LFPA Program offered Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness trainings across the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, we offered this training virtually for anyone who could not attend in person. All WI LFPA Direct to Farmer grant recipients were required to attend at least one session.  

Goals of the training included:

  1. Accomplish To-Do's for participating in the program

  2. Learn what you need to know for next steps after the training

  3. Know who to go to for Technical Assistance, selling to the program, education and networking

WHOLESALE READINESS TRAINING RECAPS

  • TRAINING #1 - HUNGER TASK FORCE FARM

    19 producers, representing 15 supplying farm businesses attended the first “Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness Training” of the 2024 season. The training was hosted at the Hunger Task Force Farm (The Farm - Hunger Task Force).

  • TRAINING #2 - MARBLESEED ORGANIC FARMING CONFERENCE

    44 producers, representing 34 supplying farm businesses attended the “Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness Training” at the Marbleseed Organic Farming Conference in La Crosse, WI.

    12 producers, representing 12 supplying farm businesses attended the “Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness Training” at Stepping Stones in Menominee, WI.

    13 producers, representing 12 supplying farm businesses attended the “Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness Training” at Second Harvest Food Bank in Madison, WI.

    18 producers, representing 13 supplying farm businesses attended the “Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness Training” at Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative in Waupaca, WI.

    4 producers, representing 4 supplying farm businesses attended the “Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness Training” at Door County Farm for Vets in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
