Learning from / Supporting Farmers
Marbleseed organized and offered farmer-to-farmer cooperative learning and education opportunities to WI LFPA farmers of all sizes, production methods, and experience levels. This educational programming was for producers to build capacity, gain market access, and strengthen the Wisconsin local food system network toprovide more equity food access to underserved communities.
Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) worked to network Wisconsin local food system partners and encourage farmers, aggregators, hunger relief organizations, and other community partners to build strong connections. WFU assisted with network development in regions across the state.
Farmer Gatherings
Members of the WI LFPA network gathered to connect, share about their work, innovations in their food community, and resources.
The WI LFPA Program offered nine Farm to Food Access Wholesale Readiness trainings across the state of Wisconsin. All WI LFPA Direct to Farmer grant recipients were required to attend at least one session.
Goals of the training include:
Accomplish To-Do's for participating in the program
Learn what you need to know for next steps after the training
Know who to go to for Technical Assistance, selling to the program, education and networking
Wholesale Readiness Trainings
WI Food System Networking Calls

Regional Convenings
The WI LFPA team hosted a series of regional, 1.5 hour virtual discussions to review what the program has accomplished and help each region begin laying plans for the future.
